About me
Venezuelan photographer living in Seville. Travel, city, and real-life photography.
I am Jeison Salazar, a Venezuelan photographer living in Seville.
My photography stems from two things that have been with me for years: traveling and observing.
A way of looking
When I travel with my camera, I'm not just looking to take a pretty picture. I'm interested in understanding the rhythm of each place, its light, its streets, its details, and those everyday moments that often go unnoticed.
That's where I connect most with photography: when an image can tell something more than what is seen at first glance.
A self-taught path
My path has been self-taught. I've learned by traveling, practicing, reading, making mistakes, and trying again.
Over time I have moved closer and closer to documentary and urban photography, where spontaneity, atmosphere and real stories play an important role.
The city beyond its monuments
I don't believe a city can be defined solely by its monuments or its most famous places.
It is also in any corner, in a person crossing the street, in a facade, in a shadow, in a scene that appears for a few seconds and then disappears.
Collections and travel
My collections are born from that way of seeing. They are photographs of trips, cities, and moments that I have experienced from my own point of view.
Each image is part of a journey, an experience, and a personal way of understanding the place I am photographing.
Keep learning
I continue to learn on every trip and every project.
I'm not interested in presenting photography as something perfect or distant, but as a way to connect with places, stories, and people.
If any of my images reach your home, your space, or your project, I like to think that it also takes a part of that moment with it.
Sincerely,
Jeison Salazar
